The ILI-South African Centre for Excellence (ILI-SACE) in Partnership with The American College for Trial Lawyers (ACTL) and University of Pretoria (UP), hosted a webinar on the 18th of January 2023 which gave a prelude to the upcoming Trial Advocacy Training on 13-17 March, 2023.
The webinar panel included experienced American and Canadian trial lawyers (advocates), a U.S federal judge, Hon. Christine O’Hearn, Joseph Steinfield, Brandi Harden, Joe Caldwell, Doug Young, Frank Walwyn and Diane McArthur. This panel will be the same faculty teaching the course in person including a member of the Uganda Supreme Court, Hon. Mike Chibita
The session, led by Caroline Cinquanto, a criminal defense lawyer and former Navy and Air Force officer, provided an array of learning outcomes that anyone interested in the Trial Advocacy Training would gain and prove to be beneficial to their careers. These include: improving your courtroom skills – openings, closing, and examining witnesses in civil cases, learn by doing – more time ”on your feet” than listening to lectures and interacting with experienced American and Canadian lawyers – advocates who have been selected for membership in America’s most prestigious trial lawyers’ organization.
Registrations for this training will receive a 10% discount if done before the 30 January and webinar attendees receive an additional 40% for their participation.
